A big milestone for the Canberra City to Gungahlin light rail project has been reached – the first rail tracks have now been laid on Flemington Road.
Test tracks were initially laid at the intersection of Nullarbor Ave and Flemington Road, and once they were given the tick of approval, the construction team could begin the large scale install of the remaining rails.
In addition to this, the main street of the Gungahlin Town Centre, Hibberson Street, is in the process of being transformed from a busy two-way shopping strip into a car-free light rail precinct. Keep up to date with the Canberra Metro Light Rail project by clicking here.
Yes, there is a display suite located on-site on the corner of Gribble Street and Anthony Rolfe Ave in the Gungahlin Town Centre. Here you can view inclusions, products, selection boards, a showcase kitchen and bathroom, and a complete scale model of the Ruby Gungahlin development.
